Saturday Race Results and Sunday Qualifying Results
OK, to our understanding, video playback showed that Keating DID pass under a yellow, which is a black flag, meaning you must stop in hot pit, followed by 10 seconds of waiting prior to entering the track again. This is a hefty penalty that moved Keating from what would be 1st or 3rd down to 9th place.
Here are race results from DVC #9 - Below those are the Qualifying Results for DVC #10

RACE RESULTS
The short story is, there are no race results yet. Although it appeared that Keating placed first, with Schimsk and Tanner following, word came in and confusion ensued as.to whether a full course caution came prior to Keating making the double pass.
If so, it remains unclear whether that would put Keating in 3rd or further back.
I will update the website tomorrow with the official results. Have a good night all!

Sorry for the delay on posting the race results, tear down and clean up after the races got busy as the wind picked up past 20 mph and the rain started falling!

This is a picture of Ben Keating's front left wheel after Keith Verges and he had contact on the far side of the track. Yes, it is split clean in half! Ben had to nurse the wheel and tire half way around the track and into pit lane to have a new wheel strapped on to finish the race.

The ViperExchange.com racing team is getting set up for the 7th and 8th installments of the Dodge Viper Cup race series in Utah's mountain country.
These races coincide with the Viper Owner's Invitational, also at Miller; we are expecting around 1,000 Snakes to be slithering around the Salt Lake City area.
If you are anywhere close, get out to the track this weekend!
Check out this picture of Bernie Katz sliding gracefully into his Comp Coupe to tear up the track. Crew chief Brian Erdman is standing by to assist with radios, seat belts and last minute adjustments.

Thursday Practice and Tuning
9/9/10
Everyone is arriving at the legendary Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA for the 5th and 6th Dodge Viper Cup races!
The ViperExchange.com team is extremely busy getting set up and fine tuning the cars for the Saturday and Sunday races, but we will be sure to post a few pictures and videos as the days go by.
Overheating problems that a majority of the cars shared at Hallett last month should not be an issue as the highs are around 60 degrees and the vehicles are able to run wide open on this brilliant track, providing a ton of airflow for cooling.
Check back every day, as we will be updating as the event unfolds!

We are fortunate to have two guest drivers with us here at Hallett, and they have been tearing around the track as hard as the regulars!
Steven Cole Smith is a writer for AutoWeek magazine, and he has been tearing it up in the white #53 ACR-X.
Richie Hearn placed 2nd in the race yesterday, extremely impressive considering he hasn't raced since 2007; that being in an open-wheel Formula car. In fact, Mr. Hearn has never even raced in closed cockpit sports cars until this weekend!
Hearn has run in 7 Indy 500 races, with a best finish of 3rd place.
Just when you think it doesn't get any sweeter, Richie donated 100% of his winnings to the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.
The drivers are hitting the track for the practice session prior to the second and final race of Hallett, OK.
Qualifying is at 10AM and the race is at 1:25PM, so hang in there for qualifying and race results, we will post them as soon as they are in!

It is 4PM on Friday the 13th, but the curse doesn't apply to the lucky Viper owners and drivers here in Oklahoma; though a few Corvette's have found their way into the wall.
Neil Hannemann has held the titles of Chief Engineer at Ford and Saleen, Executive Director at McLaren and Program Manager of the Viper GTS/R.
Impressive, right?
Mr. Hannemann is at the track with us, helping Ben Keating analyze every aspect of the #33 ACR-X. The Viper Cup series is composed of stock ACR-X's with no modifications allowed, which puts the crew and drivers into creativity mode tweaking any and all things tweak-able!
In other news, Bernie Katz has been hitting the track in a brand new Corvette Z06 sporting 505 HP, playing the role of instructor for new-to-road-course owner/driver Rick Lipscomb.
Enjoy these pictures of Neil and Ben talking over the #33, and Bernie Katz checking the rotors and brake pads on Mr. Lipscomb's Z06. Be SURE to check back tomorrow as we will be posting up to the minute qualifying and race results!
